Dr. Mercedes Patricia Arroyo was born in Lima, Peru, and grew up surrounded by dental care, inspired by her father, a dental surgeon. This early exposure fueled her passion and dedication to the field.
In 1997, she earned her dental degree from San Martín de Porres University and further specialized in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. She successfully ran two offices in Lima for eight years before relocating with her family to Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, she pursued the validation of her credentials at Universidad De La Salle in León, Mexico, obtaining accreditation from the Dental Board of California in 2010.
Dr. Arroyo is the proud owner of Amazing Smiles LA, opening her first office in Van Nuys in 2010, followed by locations in El Monte in 2012 and Reseda in 2023.
Dr. Arroyo has more than 15 years of experience, with continued education courses specialized in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in Lima , Peru.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), member of the California Dental Association (CDA), member of Cosmetic Academy Dental Association (CADA), American Academy of Facial Esthetic (AAFE), and president of the Peruvian American Dental Association (PADA).
